エコキュートは最新のエコ
現代社会において、エコはブームで終わってはいけないものとなっています。あくまでもスタンダードな生活スタイルとして定着しなければ、エコはまったく意味のないものとなってしまいます。
環境への配慮は、他の誰でもなく私たち人間へフィードバックしてくるものなのです。
そんなエコに関するアプローチは様々ですが、その中でも近年、生活の中で特に配慮されているのが、熱に関するものです。
例えば、エアコンの設定温度。
一時期は、どんな施設でも夏になると凍えそうなくらい冷房をきかせていましたが、今はだいぶ「28℃」が定着してきています。
これもエコの一環ですね。
そして、同じく熱に関するアプローチとして「エコキュート」があります。
エコキュートは、自然冷媒ヒートポンプ給湯器の愛称です。
ヒートポンプ技術を用い、炎ではなく空気の熱によってお湯を沸かすという電気給湯器の一種です。
英語のつづりだと「EcoCute」となります。
エコと「かわいい」を意味する「Cute」という単語を組み合わせたもので、この名称は日本における各電力会社、給湯器メーカーがこぞって使用しています。
実は、関西電力の登録商標でもあります。
エコキュートの特徴は、冷媒に二酸化炭素を使用している点です。
以前はフロンを使っていましたが、フロンガスは多くの人が知っている通りオゾン層破壊につながる気体です。
その点が改良されたエコキュートは、さらに環境への配慮がなされたものとなっています。
